Infrastructure services overview
These are the services that make Ayima's tech infratructure tick and broadly what they are used for.
Digital Ocean
Cloud server & services provider. Most of of our services are hosted on this platform in one way or another, either in the managed Kubernetes cluster or on a droplet server. We also have a number of managed databases on Digital Ocean including MySQL and Redis databases.
AWS
Provides a number of services, although most of them are legacy at this point. A lot of the S3 buckets has old archived data going back a number of years.
There are also a number of servers, most notably Windows servers for running Screaming Frog and other data processing workloads managed directly by the SEO team in the UK and NA.
Vultr
Legacy cloud server provider, only a few things running here - notably a file server used for Macy's which I think is either still in use or is required in some way, but I'm unsure on the details.
Buddy
CI/CD platform which we use to build docker images for our main projects and manage staging and production deployments.
Gandi
Domain registrar, more or less all domains Ayima controls are managed by Gandi. Some DNS is also controlled from there.
Cloudflare
Any DNS not controlled by Gandi is controlled by Cloudflare. The DNS for more or less all our public facing services are managed via Cloudflare.
Github
All of Ayima's source code is hosted here.
Sentry
Sentry is an error reporting and logging platform. Any errors from our main applications are sent to this service so they can be inspected and acted upon.
